Weapon of choice?

The first piece in a long time, certainly several years. The weapon of choice is pencil on paper. We all love a bit of Walken!

Guardian Angels

This is an old piece that was done as a present for me. It's done with gouache paints on artists board. I love the detail of the wings and the beautifully simple background.

Horse Flesh

Keeping in the animal theme. These are all digital pieces done with a Wacom tablet. They were a commission for some sort of adventure handbook neither of us can remember the name of. But it's out there somewhere. You need to know what sort of horse your hard earned gold gets yer!

Zebra Stripes

As Mark puts updating his online blogs and networks low on his priority list I've stepped in to help. As you can see he's not updated for quite some time and to be fair he hasn't produced much recently but I'm making it my mission to encourage him to start some more art and stop wasting his talent. I'm going to start by putting up some of my favourite older pieces as I don't see them on here already and it's good to share.

The first one is a really old one and was done back when doing his environmental illustration course, hence the departure from the usual fantasy subjects. I just love this piece. It's a great example of what he does best. It's done in gouache paints on board. It's not a photo!

Young Saker Falcon

This one is now for sale on ebay here

It's a piece I did just after finishing Uni, quite a while back now. I don't even know when. I have just moved house and came across it in a bag, so it's time to sell methinks.

Green...

This weeks illustration friday is just plain "green". Being football mad it made me think about the footy pitch so here's my donation to the green theme! It's Liverpool's Luis Garcia hurdling a challenge from Carl Robinson of Sunderland. The picture was done about a year ago just for fun. It's done entirely in Coral Painter from photo reference and is 100% graphics tablet work, no photo manipulation. I did a couple at the time the other can be seen in my deviantArt gallery here.

The Bride...

My newest pencil drawing for no reason other than to try and sell it on eBay or anywhere else for that matter.

It can be bought here.

New work for Countess Games

I have just finished a set of twenty different images for the interior of Countess Games new book - Heirs to Olympia. It took a while to get back into the swing of things on this one as I hadn't done any bigger projects for a while. Too much time working my full time job, but all that's changed and I want to start doing more artwork again.

I have included a few samples here and a link to my deviantART web page to see the full set. Please also take a look at Countess Games, there's a link to them too.
